Our drive of over 2500 miles across three different states on the west coast went like a breeze and without any hurdles whatsoever… all credits to TripIdeas efficient organisation and guidance which enabled us to take off on a journey of our lifetime.
While California is one of the most common places for tourists, we decided to check it out from a local’s perspective. TripIdea and especially Hiten recommended us to discover the west coast from terrain to terrain. Starting from the beach of Santa Monica, to the Glacier Point of Yosemite, from the barren Death Valley to the beautiful Lake Tahoe, I feel we covered every inch of west coast.
While we covered the touristy parts of San Francisco, LA and Grand Canyon, we took a different route (and some courage) to discover Death Valley and Yosemite National Park. Driving from the sea level to the magnificent Yosemite National Park at 7000 feat was breathtaking. On our way we discovered beautiful lakes and crossed a couple of rivers with sun shining bright upon us. While the weather is cool in Yosemite despite peak summer, the El Capitan, Half Dome and falls are the most aesthetic part of the United States (Even more than Grand Canyon).
After that we headed to Lake Tahoe, which greeted us with beautiful sunny weather as usual. It is one of the largest lakes in the country and it just seems endless to say the least. And after travelling to LA, SFO, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Vegas and Grand Canyon, one place that we regret not making enough time for (inspite of persistence of Hiten) was San Diego, which is one of the most beautiful cities and has one of the best beaches in the world.
All in all, we couldn’t have done this without thorough research and guidance of TripIdea
